The last time I vacationed in Sedona, Arizona I was 7 years old. Jorge had never been. So this trip was long overdue.
As usual when we go on a road trip we leave around 3 in the morning. It's rough for us but better for Tre to sleep in the car as much as possible. This trip was especially stressful since we got home from Abby's wedding at 9 then had to pack our suitcases. And of course I spent an extra hour analyzing gender ultrasound videos on YouTube until 12:30 am!
Once we arrived it was great. Sedona is beautiful. The weather was in the mid 90s all week so a little too hot to really get out and hike.
Monday we went to Jerome.
Tuesday we went to the chapel.
Wednesday we went on a short hike and swim in Oak Creek. As soon as we got there were had lunch.
Then tried to go in the water but Tre really didn't like it. I as usual forgot to put sunscreen on and was burning up but Tre did have his protection.
Then on the hike back to the car Tre fell asleep. It was way past nap time. And it was 99 degrees. Just in that short walk my shoulders got fried.
Thursday we drove up to Grand Canyon National Park.
Friday we just hung out at the resort.
Saturday we drove home.
We really had a great time and look forward to going again in the spring when the weather is more enjoyable for getting out doors and going on adventures.
